Wednesday 14th October The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11pm We spoke to Social Democrat Deputy Stephen Donnelly and Junior Minister for Finance Simon Harris about yesterdays budget and we were joined in studio by Money Watchdog John Diskin who told us who the big winners are and if there is any extra cash in people pockets. Dr Ciara Kelly also gave her reaction to the unleaked announcement of free gp care for under 12s and we heard some views on mental health from school kids on Arklow 11- 12pm Justin Moran, Age Action Ireland gave us his reaction to the budget and what they have done for our ever increasing Grey army and we spoke to Renua deputy leader Billy Timmons and Sinn Fein Councillor John Brady about their perspectives on the budget. Kitty Holland, social affairs correspondent Irish times spoke to us on the standoff between the residents of the area where temporary accommodation is being built and survivors of the Carrickmines fire, yesterdays protest and a counter protest planned for this evening. Fionnula Aston-Ardee dropped in from Kilruddery House and Gardens to chat about their upcoming events and we spoke to Tom Curran about the change to carers allowance. We also met showband, trad and folk legend and Greystones resident Johnny McEvoy ahead of his upcoming mermaid gig

We spoke to Daniel and Bridget Connors from Wicklow Travellers Group about the audit called for on all halting sites following the tragic loss of life in Carrickmines 11- 12pm We spoke to Liam Glynn, Boyle Sports about the next few matches in the Rugby World Cup and this mental health awareness week, we were joined by Richard Magee who talked about living with schizophrenia in a positive way, the importance of working when suffering from a mental illness and dealing with discrimination. With Halloween and thanksgiving quickly approaching Food writer Dee Laffin dropped in with foodie advice on all things pumpkin and Shane Byrne spoke to us on the end of Paul O’Connells International Career. We were joined in studio by musician Anderson who went door to door in Dublin housing estates, selling his album and has almost 100,000 views on YouTube already, he will perform live

We also spoke to Jim O’Brien Bray travellers community development group about the tragic loss of life in a fire in Carrickmines over the weekend. We spoke to Wicklow based Director Martina Durac about her documentary Monday Death of a Son - The Killing of Michael Dwyer which is on tonight 9.35pm rte 1. We spoke to Soccer Correspondent Paul Lennon about last nights match against Poland. 11- 12pm Former Sailor and Marconi Radio officer Norman Freeman joined us in studio with his book ‘Love, Loss, Laughter at sea’ and we spoke to Richard Bruton about jobs in Wicklow or lack thereof, from a Visit to Navan for Seventh Action Plan for Jobs Regional. We were also joined in studio by star of US Hit show celtic thunder Paul Byrom who is returning to the national concert hall to perform the great Irish songbook.
