Phil Coulter and George Hunter also joined us in studio to talk about his One Man Show in Dalkey with with special guests Geraldine Branagan and George Hunter. 11- 12pm We were joined in studio by Shaz Condon who performed live and Patrick Keogh Founder of Rathwood dropped in to talk about the early success of this years santa train .We were joined in studio by Tom Curran following his controversy causing trip to the Edinburgh fringe festival, he will talk about speaking at an end of life conference in Dublin Castle and his part in successful campaign for HSE to proved a powerful new MS drug and we met Jack Drea, CEO and Founder of Wicklow based start-up Tech Firm; Bonzaquote who will tell us what it was like to represent Ireland at Black Box Connect in Silicon Valley a few weeks ago

Wicklow County Tourism Chairman Noel Keyes joined us in studio to talk about funding for the Garden county’s answer to the wild atlantic way; the ancient east and with back to school time just behind us Science Man Sean Duke dropped in to tell us how Starting school at 10, not 9, would benefit teenagers and why Sexist toys putting girls off science and on world suicide prevention day he tells us why Mental health apps lets you access therapy from your smartphone. Technology Consultant Damien Mulley gave us his reaction to Apple’s latest offering. 11- 12pm Mystic Celt Chef Paul Smith dropped in to tell us all the uses for baking soda and Barry Doyle dropped in from Arboretum in Kilquaide with gardening advice. Brenda Barry also popped in to talk about her upcoming fundraiser with Derry Clarke in Avoca for the Wicklow hospice and Pete the vet joined us to talk about harvest mites. We also spoke to Eileen Kennedy about this weekends’ Wicklow vintage car run.

Wednesday 9th September The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am We spoke to Seamus Boland; CEO Irish Rural Link about the rise in burglaries and repeat offenders possibly getting harsher sentences and the lack of Gardai in rural communities and we spoke to Derek O’Rourke security advisor for Goal in Turkey and Syria about what’s happening in Syria and Turkey, why people are leaving Turkey and also his experience of speaking with our staff who know people who have dared these perilous journeys to Europe. Elaine Flanagan Nursing Director Leopardstown Park Hospital joined us in studio to talk to us about the Hospital, what they do and an upcoming fundraising Fete they are holding and Producer Claire Darmody joined us to talk about the Tinahely walking challenge taking place this Saturday 12th September from 9am in aid of Pieta House. 11- 12pm Laura Haugh dropped in from Mummypages.ie to talk about childhood obesity and how we can tackle it and Food Writer Dee Laffin popped in to talk about foraging and slow food, she was joined by Keen Forager Anne Kennedy. Ian Lumely, Heritage Officer with An Taisce gave us the latest on the Beit paintings and Wicklow Singer/Songwriter Christian Collins also joined us in studio to perform.

We discussed the gender recognition bill and how it impacts the transgender community with Sam Blackensee who work with the transgender equality network of Ireland and we were joined by Stephen Kinsella from FSM Crossfit bray who talked about his fundraising fitness event for Purple House cancer support. 11- 12pm We were joined in studio by Ryan Sheridan who chatted and performed live and we were joined in studio by Sorcha Murphy from Escape Boutique who chatted about A/W trends. Crime journalist and Author Paul Williams also talked to us about rural crime and how members of isolated communities are being forced to take security matters into their own hands and local children’s Author Alan Nolan dropped in to talk about his latest book Conor’s Caveman

Mary O’Carolan from Bray Area Partnership and Dermot McCabe citizens information centre dropped in to talk about entitlements week Conflict Coach and Mediator Fiona McAuslen joined us in studio with her daughter Sarah to give advice and share first-hand experience of surviving 6th year from mum and students point of view and Sarah, who is pursuing a career and education in music also performed live. 11- 12pm Niall O’Connor Political Correspondent Irish Independent talked to us about Labour Rebels opposing Joan Burtons ‘pact with FG’ and best-selling author Sarah Webb joined us to talk about lots of great reads and her own latest childrens novel ‘Sunny Days and Moon Cake’ which takes a look at anxiety disorder selective mutism. George Jones dropped in to talk about the le touché legacy and Michaela Kennedy talked to us following on from the successful Wicklow town appeal for items for the Syrian refugees.
