Thursday 27th August The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am We spoke to Tom Shortt, Wicklow County Chairman IFA about the importance of farm safety awareness following another tragic farm related accident in carlow and Niall O’Connor, Political Correpsondent told us about Garda Chief forced into U-Turn on IRA stance. We were also joined in studio by Holiday Doctor Joe Supple who talked about the main bug bears of cabin crew, including taking too long ordering drinks, wanting to use the loo before landing and keeping your headphones on while ordering......we also talked about the worst things that can happen when you are on holidays and we were joined in studio Science Man Sean Duke who talks about how BMI is not necessarily a good way to calculate healthy weight, what your dust mites say about you and how damaging video games may be to young minds. 11- 12pm We heard what food is best for brain function and improving concentration for students and parents embarking on exam years from The Mystic Celt Chef; Paul Smith and we spoke to Dave Coulson owner of the Tramyard Dalkey & Festival Organiser about the lobster fest taking place this weekend. We were also joined in studio by a band from Arklow; Small Town Crisis who performed live ahead of appearing on Wicklow County Matters on Irish TV this Sunday night. The band were recently selected by music generation Wicklow to record one of their original songs on the John Lennon tour bus which was in Blessington for one day. They were the only band in wicklow picked for this opportunity. Gail nic Eoghan also joined us from Kilcoole animal hospital to talk about Dogs with Jobs.

Wednesday 26 August The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am We spoke to Niall O’Connor, Political Correspondent with the Independent about the Garda Chief being ordered to reassess IRA threat and we spoke to Wicklow mum Lorraine Dempsey about facing back to school costs and are also joined by Money Doctor John Lowe who gave advice on managing those costs. We were joined in studio by Colm Dempsey, First Responders to talk about their next big event; CPR marathon and CPR world record attempt. 11- 12pm We were joined in studio by Laura Haugh, Mummy Pages.ie who also talked Back-to-School prep and gave tips for mums with children starting school for the first time. We spoke to 10 CC’s Graham Gouldman ahead of his appearance at this weekends proms on the pier. We were also joined in studio by Food Writer Dee Laffin who talked about the return trend of chicken broth, how you make it and why it is good for you. Simon Lynch and Quincy Fennelly joined us in studio from Wicklow Wolf ahead of their appearance at this weekends craft beer festival in the RDS.

We spoke to Money Doctor John Lowe about the impact the financial situation in China has on us here and we were joined in studio by John Mullen, Chairman Tinahely Community Projects and name to be confirmed Marguerite Kiely, the Clinical Director for Child and Adolescent Services and the Director of Research Pieta House to talk about the Tinahely challenge in aid of pieta house taking place on 12th September 11- 12pm We were joined in studio by Eric Dempsey, Birds Ireland who talked about his latest book; Don’t die in Autumn – A Memoir and we were joined in studio by Sorcha Murphy, Escape Boutique who talked about the back to school run(way) with a nod to A/W trends 2015. We also spoke to Wicklow mum and healthy eating advocate Lauren Keogh, about how not to stress about having amazing lunches and gave us quick and simple and practical ideas for parents and we were joined in studio by Band Buckshot Amber for a live performance, the lads are from bray they are playing at Electric Picnic.

We also spoke to technological consultant Damien Mulley about Netflix price hikes, googles’ new HQ and jobs and spotify wanting too much info and we were joined in studio by Alan and Paula Connolly who talked about their daughters rare condition and their planned fundraiser in September; running The Ultimate fire & Glass walk on the 25th September in the Martello. 11- 12pm We were joined in studio by Ashford based Psychotherapist Richard Bury who talked about getting the right work life balance after reports last week that we are all working much more then we should be and we were joined in studio by Deirdre Burns, Heritage officer, Wicklow County Council about national heritage week and the events in Wicklow this week. Conor Pope, Pricewatch editor with the Irish Times also told us about the top 10 scams and what to watch out for we were joined in studio by third smoke who chatted and performed live.
