Toasted Special joined us in studio to perform live ahead of their appearance at the Harbour Bar stage at Groove Festival and Alex Stanley From Outdoor Discovery Adventure Company talked to us about the climbing wall and archery in Kilrudddery this weekend. 11- 12pm Maria Duffy joins us in studio to talk about her new book ‘A Love Like This’ and we were joined in studio by Festival make-up artists Nicole Pringle and Kath Mullhall who gave tips on keeping your hair looking festival friendly, basic beauty products to bring along and rockabilly make-up. We were also joined by The Delorentos who will perform live ahead of their appearance at the main stage at Groove

Thursday 2nd July The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am Fiachra O’Cionnaith, Irish Examiner spoke to us about the bamking inquiry and Brian Cowen’s appearance today and we heard reaction to the Government plans to tackle our mental health and suicide problem from Caroline McGuigan, Founder of SOS. We were also joined in studio by Science Man Sean Duke who talks to us about how antibiotics can harm childs’ development and why video games can increase risk of violent behaviour 11- 12pm We discussed the dangers of online slimming pills and ask if the closure of head shops has really made a difference with A&E Consultant Dr Chris Luke and Dr Eva, Orsmondes weight loss clinic (with clinics in Loughlinstown and on Baggot street) and Journalist Liam Collins gave their views on reports that children as young as 7 are needing adult sized uniforms. We spoke to Jessica, Martin and Jordan from Take A Chance charity (East Wicklow Service) about their family fun day fundraiser taking place in aid of temple street hospital in Arklow this weekend and Pete the vet advised on taking good and careful care of your pets in the heat. We also heard about the top 20 gadgets that make work easier from Adrian Weckler, Irish Independent Technology Correspondent.

Wednesday 1st July The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am We spoke to Ann Mooney, Irish Sun about the continuing tragedy that began to unfold in Baltimore in west cork yesterday evening and FG Deputy and Junior Minister Simon Harris and Dr Tom O’Connor, Economic and Public Policy Lecturer in Cork Institute of technology discussed their views on Greece. Catherine Craddock, East Coast Physio joined us in studio to talk about why running on hard roads can be brutal on joggers bodies and tips for beginners and we spoke to Kostas Katsaros in Athens. 11- 12pm Money Doctor John Lowe and Listener and Bray Resdient Sara Hogan gave their reaction to the Permanent TSB latest and we were joined in studio by Breda Birmingham, to discuss the current property landscape across Wicklow and the launch of the first show house in the County for 7 years. We were also joined in studio Dr Brendan Cuddihy who gives details on the free GP care for under-6’s which begins today and he is part of and we heard about a tribute to Fran O’Toole taking place this weekend in Bray from organizer Peter Carolan and Bray Caothairleach Brendan Thornhill, we also spoke to Fran’s former bandmate Des Lee.

Tuesday 30th June The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am Arklow Holidaymaker Pat Dempsey and Irish Times Journalist Lara Marlowe spoke to us from Tunisia and Health and Fitness Consultant Helen Walsh joined us in studio to talk about how much help you can get for work-outs and diet online. 11- 12pm Actor Des Keogh joined us in studio to chat about his upcoming show in the Pavillion; My Fair Ladies, where he plays George Bernard Shaw and Declan Hughes from Irish Veterans dropped into studio to talk about the fighting irish golf classic he has coming up and about Irish Veterans and what they do. We also spoke to Tanya Arey MD of Sunway about holiday makers in Tunisia and those who are due to go there and Science Man Sean Duke told us why a ‘leap second’ will get added on to the world clock just before midnight tonight and how and why that happens.

Monday 29th June The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am Mary MacDonald Arklow SF Councillor and Irene Winters FG Councillor talked to us about water Charges and tenants and we spoke to our holiday doctor Joe Supple from Tunisia about what it’s like there . Prof Joe Barry, Head of Dept of Public Health and primary care, TCD and Irish Independent Journalist Liam Collins give their view on alcohol pricing. 11- 12pm Best-selling author Claudia Carroll joined us in studio to talk about her latest novel Meet me in Manhattan and with a heat wave on the way this week, Ashford based psychotherapist and Counsellor Richard Bury drops in to talk about seasonal affective disorder and how the weather can seriously affect your mental health. Barry Doyle from Arboretum joined us in studio to give gardening advice, talk about 30 years of business and opening up in Kilquade and we spoke to Wicklow Manager Johnny Magee about Saturdays match. We were also joined in studio by Lauryn Gaffney, 22 year old musical creator of musical ‘big shot’ which has earned a slot in the San Diego fringe festival following sold out performance in Dublin, we also heard a song from the show performed live from Donal Brennan and Gavin MacDermott.
