The Morning Show with Declan Meeha Friday 17th April The 7th East Coast fm Wicklow Wide Coffee Morning took place today and thousands of Wicklow people came out to help raise money for the 5 Cancer support centres and Wicklow Hospice Foundation . Declan checked in with all 11 venues where our East Coast Reporters were based and our listeners attenTed to raise money and be entertained by Musicians Chris De Burgh, Eleanor McEvoy, Phil, Coulter, Mary Byrne, Luan Parle, Kim Hayden, Eurosong winner and representative for Irelands in Eurovision 2015 Molly Sterling, Xfactor Favourite Melanie McCabe, Connor McKeon, Rory Quinn, Magician, Ventriloquist and Comedian Jack Wise, TV Presenter and Author Amanda Brunker, Former Rugby International Shane Byrne, Comedian Dave Young, International Bestselling Author Cathy Kelly, John Lowe the money doctor and his Buddy Holly tribute band the 3 buddies and Magicians Joe Daly and Colm Dawson and the Berry Academy dancers. Declan also checked in with some of the smaller venues. Career Guidance Counsellor Patricia Wroe joined us in studio to give us advice on advance work that parents might do ahead of CAO Change of Mind and Keeping calm if your son or daughter is preparing for a State Exam and why you shouldn’t overlook colleges of further education and Paula McKenzie dropped in to talk about being a relationship mentor and an upcoming seminar 11- 12pm Producer Claire Darmody and Eileen Earls, Wicklow Cancer Support Centre joined us in studio to talk about the 7th East Coast fm Wicklow Wide coffee morning for the 5 Wicklow Cancer Support Centres and Wicklow Hospice Foundation on April 17th and Author Emma Hannigan dropped in to talk about her book ‘The Secret we Share’. Food Writer Dee Laffin joined in studio to give advice on avoiding food wastage and Mummy pages Mum in Residence Laura Haugh dropped in to talk about communicating with your toddler.

Tuesday 14th April The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am Sinn Fein Councillor John Brady spoke to us about repossessions in Wicklow and Steven Mill from Capital FM Scotland told us what he could about missing Irish Student Nurse Karen Buckley. Adrian Weckler, Technology Editor, Irish Independent talked to us about Wicklow being one of 300 extra towns to get super fast home broadband. We were also joined in studio by Jackie fisher, shauna temple and Karl O’Leary from the cast of all shook up by Bray Musical Society ahead of their stint in the Mermaid on April 22nd and Dr Christine Mc Garrigle research fellow with Tilda study talked to us about new research on grandparents and how childminding is making some of them feel depressed. 11- 12pm Producer Claire Darmody and Eileen Earls, Wicklow Cancer Support Centre joined us in studio to talk about the 7th East Coast fm Wicklow Wide coffee morning for the 5 Wicklow Cancer Support Centres and Wicklow Hospice Foundation on April 17th and the Kilkennys dropped in to perform live. We also spoke to Niamh Hourigan Sociologist UCC about her book rule-breakers – why ‘being there’ trumps ‘being fair’ in Ireland

Councillor Pat Casey and Doctor Brian Espery, Trinity College talked to us about how light pollution doesn’t just affect cities in Ireland 11- 12pm Producer Claire Darmody and Veronica O’Leary, Bray Cancer Support Centre joined us in studio to talk about the 7th East Coast fm Wicklow Wide coffee morning for the 5 Wicklow Cancer Support Centres and Wicklow Hospice Foundation on April 17th . Best- selling Author Alex Barclay dropped in to studio to talk about her latest book Killing Ways and Singer Kim Hayden dropped in to chat ahead of her gig in Whelans on Thursday and performing at Kingfishers Kitchen, the Enniskerry venue of the Coffee Morning this Friday 17th April.
