Friday 16th January The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am We spoke to Councillor John Snell and FG Deputy Andrew Doyle about the arrests at the water charge protests during the week and we were joined in studio by Graham O’Neill, Wicklow Voice and Mary Fogarty, Bray People to review this morning’s newspapers. We also heard gardening advice for this extreme weather from Gardener John Stephenson. 11- 12pm We spoke to Dr Ciara Kelly about the strain of flu expected to beat the flu vaccine and we heard listener reaction to Deputy Andrew Doyle’s earlier comments. We were also joined in studio by Science Journalist Sean Duke who told us why car owners may be smarter than dog owners and high heels are bad for your health and Fr Ray Kelly dropped in to talk about his great success and his new album.

Thursday 15th January The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am We heard from Paul Joyce, from the Free Legal Advice Centre on their report into banks cherry picking home loan arrears cases. Meanwhile Professor Richard Layte who is the Author of the ESRI report Growing Up In Ireland spoke to Declan on how the statistics show that 1 in 10 women smoke while pregnant and Barry Kenny from Irish Rail joined Declan about the review of Irish Rail services by the Minister for Transport. 11- 12pm Joe Supple the Holiday Doctor joined us to look at some great staycations and Gail Nic Eoghan from Kilcoole Animal Hospital had some advice on how to manage pets in this Winter weather. Finally Declan spoke to Maureen Griffin following her arrest this morning by GardaĆ­ after a water protest in Wicklow Town.

Wednesday 14th January The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am We spoke to Niall O’Connor, Political Correspondent about the plan for landlords to get tax relief to keep rents down and we discussed jobs plans for Wicklow with Councillor and Hotelier Pat Casey and Junior Finance Minister Simon Harris. We also heard the plans for childcare tax breaks from Daniel McConnell, Group Political Correspondent Irish Independent and we heard reaction to the perceived lack of effort and gritters from Wicklow County Council to deal with ice from Marian, listener from Rathdrum. 11- 12pm Mummy pages mum in residence Laura Haugh gave her view on the proposed tax breaks for childcare and explained why September birhs are so popular and we heard more of our listeners experiences with the gritters, including a very positive one. We also heard an update on the ongoing and unwelcome changes to the 145 bus route from regular public transport user and listener Mary Lavery and we spoke to water protestor in Arklow about her discontent with the mess left around her estate following meter installments that she didn’t agree to. We also heard why some water meters will need to be replaced as soon as 15 years time, from Juno McEnroe, Political Correspondent, Irish Examiner and Local Author David Butler dropped in to talk about his book the City of Dis.

We also discussed on going water protests in Wicklow with Wicklow right2 water campaigner Maureen Griffen. 11- 12pm We were joined in studio by Alan Bailey, former head of Operation Trace who talked about his book, Missing, Presumed. We also spoke to Technology Consultant Damien Mulley about Occulus and we heard a review of Charlie episode 2 from Irish Times Journalist Peter Muragh.

Monday 12th January The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am We spoke to Laura Wood from Freshly Squeezed about last night’s golden globe winners and we were joined in studio by Independent Deputy Stephen Donnelly who gave his thoughts on the new Alliances. We were also joined in studio by Cathy O’Brien who gave advice on saving money by DIYing your divorce and East Coast fm reporter Ronan Coveney gave us a review of Friday night’s prerecorded debate with Vincent Browne which took place in the Grand Hotel and will be broadcast on Wednesday. 11- 12pm We were joined in studio by Psychotherapist Ken Loftus who gave advice on dealing with the January blues and we also heard about Operation Transformation events taking place in Wicklow Town and Arklow from organisers Mick Nolan and Paul Flynn. We were also joined in studio by the Happy Pear twins who talked about their upcoming Stage show in the Pavillion this weekend and their happy heart course starting on Monday 19th January and we spoke to Lise Hand from Paris about the latest from there.
