Thursday 27th August The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am We spoke to Tom Shortt, Wicklow County Chairman IFA about the importance of farm safety awareness following another tragic farm related accident in carlow and Niall O’Connor, Political Correpsondent told us about Garda Chief forced into U-Turn on IRA stance. We were also joined in studio by Holiday Doctor Joe Supple who talked about the main bug bears of cabin crew, including taking too long ordering drinks, wanting to use the loo before landing and keeping your headphones on while ordering......we also talked about the worst things that can happen when you are on holidays and we were joined in studio Science Man Sean Duke who talks about how BMI is not necessarily a good way to calculate healthy weight, what your dust mites say about you and how damaging video games may be to young minds. 11- 12pm We heard what food is best for brain function and improving concentration for students and parents embarking on exam years from The Mystic Celt Chef; Paul Smith and we spoke to Dave Coulson owner of the Tramyard Dalkey & Festival Organiser about the lobster fest taking place this weekend. We were also joined in studio by a band from Arklow; Small Town Crisis who performed live ahead of appearing on Wicklow County Matters on Irish TV this Sunday night. The band were recently selected by music generation Wicklow to record one of their original songs on the John Lennon tour bus which was in Blessington for one day. They were the only band in wicklow picked for this opportunity. Gail nic Eoghan also joined us from Kilcoole animal hospital to talk about Dogs with Jobs.
