Friday 19th December The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am We were joined in studio by Mary Fogarty, Bray People and Graham O’Neill, Wicklow Voice and Gavin Lynch from Organic Hells Kettle Farm in Donard talked to us about turkeys. We were also joined in studio by Irish Times reporter Peter Murtagh who talked about the past year, his travels and the upcoming docudrama about Charlie Haughey. 11am-midday We were joined in studio by Noel Whelan who talked about the Brian Lenihan Book, In Calm and Crisis and we spoke to Simon Moynihan, Bonkers.ie about extra electricity costs. We were also joined in studio by Brendan McGuinness, Next Door Wine who gave us advice on good wines for Christmas dinner and gifts.

Thursday 18th December The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am We heard a reaction to a decision that Arklow has to pay the water charges in full from local water protestor and SF Councillor Mary McDonald and we spoke to Independent Deputy Billy Timmons about the current case about a clinically dead woman being kept alive because she is pregnant. We also spoke to Eleanor Mc Evoy about her trip to and experience of Cuba and also Simon McGuiness, National Co-ordinator of Cuba Support Group following the latest US/Cuba developments. 11am-midday We were joined in studio by Donnellies Chef Siobhan Donnelly who gave advice on festive starters and we were also joined in studio by Science Journalist Sean Duke who told us why Santa doesn’t age, where he lives and the first silent night. We were also joined in studio by Irish Times Wine Correspondent John Wilson who chatted about his book Wilson on wines and Vet Pete Wedderburn joined us in studio to answer listener questions. Holiday Doctor Joe Supple gave us his list of travel gadgets gifts for Christmas.

We also spoke to David Moore, Astronomy Ireland about life on Mars and the International Space Station being over Ireland until 28th December. 11am-midday We were joined in studio by Author Sheila Keegan Groome who talked about her latest simply be book and embracing winter and Local Garda Declna Lynch and Sargent John Fitzpatrick dropped in to give practical tips on keeping you, your family and home safe this Christmas. We were also joined in studio by Moya Brennan who talked about her upcoming gig in Konkstown Parish Church tomorrow night and all things Christmas, including her Christmas Collection album and we caught up with multiple award winning Christmas tree grower Christy Kavanagh about this years crop and sales.

We were also joined in studio by Wicklow based Celebrity Chef Catherine Fulvio who chatted about preparing a Vegetarian Christmas. 11am-midday We were joined in studio by Laura Haugh, Mummy pages.ie who talked about children giving up their soothers for Christmas and Deanna O’Connor from Xpose Magazine popped in to talk about top gifts for the people in your life. Tuesday 15th December The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am Declan reviewed the top stories in today’s papers before moving to a chat with Gerry Byrne, Ireland’s top aviation journalist. They discussed amazing story of the chilli peppers that set off an alarm on an Air France plane, causing an emergency landing. Eamon Timmins from Age Action Ireland was on to talk about how to keep safe and warm this Christmas, and to look in on the neighbours this time of year. Helen Walsh dropped in to studio to give Declan some tips on health and fitness for the holiday season. Independent TD Stephen Donnelly called in to update Declan on the Irish Water situation and his attempt to table motions in the Dail on privatisation. Stephen also chatted about the prospect of a new political group emerging before the next election. 11am-midday Tech wizard Damien Mulley gave Declan a run-down on all the best Christmas gifts for the tekkies in your life. Breaking news from Australia was covered by Irish DJ based in Oz talking about the siege in the financial district of Sydney where hostages are being held by what appear to be Islamic terrorists. Susan Walsh dropped in for a visit from nearby Dubray Books who are celebrating their 40th birthday soon. Susan reviewed her favourite recommendations for books that will keep everyone happy over Christmas. Last up was new Indie-Folk band The Last of The Bar Stools – they are London-based, but one of their number is local boy Mark Kavanagh from Glencree in Enniskerry. They played a song live and we also heard a clip from their latest single “Don’t Let the Bad Guys Win”.
