We were also joined in studio by Guidance Counsellor Patricia Wroe who gave advice on homework and study skills and helpful hints for parents and Richard Murray, Carlow Rural Information Services Project told us about the link between Elvis and Hackettstown and their special events weekend to celebrate that in October. 11- Midday We spoke to Sky News Journalist Tim Marshall about his book ‘Dirty Northern B*st*rds and other tales from the Terrace and his work in the Middle East and we heard about depression among cancer sufferers from Veronica O’ Leary, CEO Bray Cancer Support Centre. Hot Press Journalist Stuart Clarke also chatted to us ahead of Electric Picnic. We were also joined in studio by Science Journalist Sean Duke who talked about an implant which could put an end to reading glasses and if digital technology and TV can effect your childs social skills and Freshly Squeezed’s Laura Wood dropped in to talk about the TV3 Autumn Schedule and her new show. 11- midday We spoke to Luka Bloom ahead of his gig in Mermaid Arts Centre tomorrow night and Holiday Doctor Joe Supple dropped in to chat about cruises. We also spoke to Dr Tom Matthews, Geography Dept, NUI Maynooth about recent bad storms being the worst in 143 years and Pete the Vet joined us to talk about pet sitting holidays.

We also spoke to Gill Weymann, Ladybird Study Co-ordinator Irish Wildlife Trust about the invasion of Harlequinn Ladybirds and Laura Haugh, Mummypages.net about childproofing your home and an age limit on parenting. 11- midday We spoke to Music Journalist and former Hot Press Editor Jackie Hayden about the greatest guitar rifts and we spoke to Darragh Page, Drinking Water inspector EPA. We were also joined in studio by Singer/songwriter Kurtis Wade who performed live.

We also discussed the growing need for plus sized uniforms with Arklow retailer Eric Craig who provides outsized uniforms and Aine Lynch, CEO Childline and we talked about Hurricane Charlie which hit Bray 28 years ago today. 11- 12pm We discussed some of the secrets of successful motherhood with Kate Carberrry, Becoming Mum and we heard about the Emmys and MTV music Awards from East Coast’s Laura Wood. We were also joined in studio by Money Watchdog John Diskin who gave advice on student loans and accounts and Singer/Songwriter Ian O’ Doherty joined us to perform live.

Yvonne Whitty and Jack Lynch, both who are part of Preban Cemetary Grouping Tinahealy, joined Declan in studio to talk about a number of events taking place about the history of the cemetary.
