Motorists Urged To Slow Down Over Bank Holiday Weekend

Motorists in Wicklow and surrounding counties are being urged to drive with care this weekend. The June Bank Holiday is regarded as the most dangerous weekend of the year on Irish roads. Figures show that five people lost their lives and five were seriously injured last year - while six lost their lives and 11 were seriously injured in 2012. So far 74 people have been killed in collisions nationwide since January - that's one more person than this time last year.
