ASTI Welcomes Invite To Talks From Education Minister

The ASTI has welcomed an invitation from the Minister for Education RuairĂ Quinn to the teacher unions, for talks on changes to the Junior Cycle. The secondary teachers' union had presented the Minister with a petition signed by almost 10-thousand members opposing the Minister's new programme. The Association said it's vital that students are placed at the centre of Junior Cycle reform, and that the assessment of students is fair, impartial, transparent and consistent.
