We were joined in studio by local author Maureen O’ Hara who talked about genealogy and her book ‘oaks and acorns’

• We were joined in studio by Donnellies Chef Siobhan Donnelly who gave tips on festive food and nibbles and NCA Director of Research and Policy, Feargal O’ Leary gave advice on gift vouchers and shopping smart for Christmas. We also heard pet advice from Vet Pete Wedderburn.

We heard tips on Christmas party wear from Sorcha Murphy, Escape Boutique in Greystones.

•We were joined in studio by Relationship Counsellor Jennifer Haskins and Bill Phelan, both from Two’s Company dating agency who gave advice for looking for love and we also heard the reaction of Lorraine Dempsey, Chairperson Special Needs Parents Association to the latest from CRC.

•We were joined in studio by Former Mountjoy John Lonergan who talked to us about his parenting book and we also heard about toys for children with special needs from Aine Conacur, MD of Thinkingtoys.ie. We heard about the Great- Spotted woodpecker having begun breeding again here for the first time since the Ice-Age from Dick Coombes, Birdwatch Ireland.

We also heard a review of the Late Late Toy Show and we were joined by Award winning Christmas Tree Grower Christy Kavanagh who talked about Christmas trees.

•We were joined in studio by Brian Kennedy with his new album, A Love Letter to Joni and we launched 2013 St Vincent De Paul Give A Gift with Mary and Vincent Dillon from Wicklow Area SvP, for more information see eastcoast.fm/giveagift. We also heard about the high sugar content in fruit juices from Clionadh Foley- Nolan of Safefood and we were joined by Tim Carey, author of Hanged for Murder – Irish State Executions.
