We also celbrated red heads ahead of tonights RTE Oi’ Ginger programme with Presenter Angela Scanlon and Founder/CEO Redhead Convention Joleen Cronin and Ginger wannabe Ruth Kennedy. We also spoke to Food blogger, TV Chef and Author Donal Skehan who popped in with his new book ‘Home Cooked’

-We were joined in studio by Vet Pete Wedderburn who answered listeners pet care questions and Sorcha Murpjhy from Escape Boutique In Greystones gave he views on the Royal Christening Fashion.

-We spoke to Tom Brady, Security Editor of Irish Independent about the latest on the young girl taken into care from a Roma family yesterday afternoon and we also heard reaction to Alex Fergusons comments about Roy Keane in his book and Roy Keanes response from Tony Dunne, Wicklow Man United Supporters Club. We also heard about the new I-pad, retuning or saorview and Facebook allowing graphic videos again from Technological Consultant Damien Mulley.

-We were joined in studio by Local Councillors David Grant and Mick Glynn to discuss the abolition of Town Councils and Local Searent John Fitzpatrick filled us in on most common reasons why burglaries occur and about a recent spate of robberies in Rathnew. The Dublin Gospel Choir also joined us in studio to perform live.

-We spoke to Mairead Hayes, CEO Irish Senior Citizens Parliament and organiser of todays protest by older people and we spoke to Joe Behan, former FF TD for Wicklow about todays action. We also spoke to Bray listener who was attending the protest and Dr Paul Corcoran, Senior Lecturer in Perinatal Epidemiology at UCC told us about their recent report that showed that newborn deaths are on the rise in some hospitals here.

-We were joined in studio by Wicklow based Addiction Counsellor and psychotherapist, Brian Lynch from Awareness Counselling therapies who talked about the rise in gambling and local band The Ground Will Shake dropped in to perform live. We also heard ways to avoid food wastage and save significant money doing so from Odile Le Bolloch, EPA Project Manager of Stop Food Waste Campaign.

-We spoke to Dr Clionadh Foley-Nolan from Safefood about a new anti-obestity campaign launched today which included research that shows lack of sleep can lead to childhood obesity and we also heard a weather update from Met Eireann and spoke to Ian O’ Neill, Treasurer and Clubman from Glenealy following their fantastic win over the weekend.

-We were joined in studio by cast members from Alone it Stands which is showing at Mermaid Arts Theatre this Thursday, Friday and Saturday and we also heard about Vera Wangs new collection from Anne Gregory, award winning Newtown based Bridal designer. We were also joined by Cronin who performed live.
