Friday 31st May 2013 The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am •We heard a review of the papers from WicklowNews.net journalist Mick Kelly and we spoke to Cllr David Grant about the abolition of Town Councils. We also heard what happens to your brain when you go through a break-up from Science Blogger Sean Duke. 11am -midday •We were joined by Organiser of the Greystones Festival, Grainne Mc Loughlin and Jazz singer and Guitarist Nigel Mooney who performed live ahead of his gig in Hot Spot in Greystones on Sunday night. We also discussed pet robberies and stray horses with Vet Pete Wedderburn and we got tips on some weekend wine from Brendan McGuinness of Next Door Off Licence in Arklow.

Thursday 30th May 2013 The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am •We heard from Independent TD John Halligan who raised Wicklow woman Marie Flemings ongoing fight in the Dail and we returned to the issues arising surrounding childcare with Bernie Griffiths, Chairperson of Childminding Ireland and listeners. 11am -midday •We caught up with Wicklow Gardener John Stephenson in Bloom Festival which opened in the Phoenix Park today and we heard BBQ tips and recipes from Wicklow Chef, Siobhan Donnelly. We also discussed our over consumption of salt and it’s dangers with Paul Kelly, Director Food and Drinks Industry Ireland and Dr Wayne Anderson, Food Safety and Standards Food Safety Authority of Ireland.

We also heard from our listeners who experienced that earthquake last night long with an explaination from Tom Blake, Experimental Officer, Geophysics Section, School of Cosmic Physics. 11am -midday •We heard further reaction to last nights crèche expose from Wicklow preschool owner and Lecturer in Early Childhood Margaret O’ Donahue and we were joined in studio by Dave Browne from Picture House ahead of the launch of their new album Evolution. We got advice on following the 20’s revival trend following the release of the Great Gatsby from Escape Boutiques’ Sorcha Murphy.

Tuesday 28th May 2013 The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am •We heard the latest on the water situation from Foxes Meadow resident Claire Hawker and we spoke to Arklow’s Gaelscoil an Inbhir Mhóir Principal Páidí ó Flaibhín ahead of their protest against their new location. We also heard very practical exam and study tips from Prof Aidan Moran, UCD Cognitive Psychology Professor and author of ‘Learn to Study’. 11am -midday •We met Arklow family, 9 year old Tegan Doyle and her Grandfather Martin Byrne who told us about Tegan growing her hair for the last two years to donate it to the princess trust for it to be turned into a wig for sick children and also how they are organising a family fun day in Fun works in Arklow this Sunday for the hair cut and to raise money for st Lukes, all in memory of Martins son and Tegan’s uncle Dara who passed away after a battle with cancer in June 2011 for more information see www.facebook.com/bronab . We were also joined in studio by NHew Zealand Singer/Songwriter Mel Parsons for a chat and live performance and Money Watchdog John Diskin dropped in to give advice on hanging onto your tracker mortgage.

We also heard about how you could get involved with fostering from 2 Wicklow based long term foster care parents and we heard listener reaction on property tax. 11am -midday •We returned to the issue of property tax and we were joined in studio by band Elevens for a chat and live performance. We werw also joined by Wicklow man Mike Synott who chatted about self publishing his sci-fi fiction book. We also caught up with Wicklow Manager Harry Murphy.
