Friday 25th January 2013 The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am •We spoke to Irish Patients Association Chairman, Steve Mc Mahon about his reaction to the discovery of DNR orders on patients with no consent details during an investigation into a private nursing home and we chatted to Arklow transition year student Daire รณ Conchubar from Gael Cholaiste na Mara about his award winning poster campaign for disability awareness. 11- 12pm •We were joined in studio by Money Doctor John Lowe who gave practial advice for saving money and budgeting sensibly in 2013 and Vet Pete Wedderburn dropped in to answer listener queries.

We heard the latest on the horsemeat story from Irish Farmers Journal’s Justin Mc Carthy and got tips for driving in the ice and snow from Irish journalist living in Sweden, Philip O’ Conor. 11- 12pm •We heard tips on getting fussy children to eat better from the Food Nanny, Anna Burns and Irish Independent Personal Finance Editor, Charlie Weston talked about switching providers and keeping the big bills down. We also discussed the complication of cookery books with Donnelly’s Chef Siobhan Donnelly.

We also discussed the importance of keeping warm for the elderly with Gerard Scully, Age Action Ireland and John Mark Mc Cafferty, Society of Vincent De Paul. 11- 12pm •We heard the importance of sparing a thought for the birds in this extreme cold weather from Eric Dempsey, Birds Ireland and we heard reaction to Danny Healy Rae’s proposal to allow certain people to drive over the limit from Councillors Pat Doran and Vincent Blake. We heard tips on avoiding injury in cold weather from East Coast Physio Avril Barrett.

Monday 21st January 2013 The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am •We were joined by East Coast fm reporter Laura Wood, who told us about last night’s European Premiere of ‘Lincoln’ which was held in aid of the Wicklow Hospice Foundation and played her exclusive stand alone interview with Oscar nominated Daniel Day Lewis and we spoke to Hospice Chairman, Dr Brendan Cuddihy about the success of the night, gala dinner and auction. We also spoke to Dr Harry Comber, Director, National Cancer Registry about how people in disadvantaged areas have higher rates of cancer and why and we caught up with Eamonn O’ Neill from Arklow about his film ‘I’m fine thanks’ which is nominated in BAFTA Short film category. 11- 12pm •We heard about the expected turnaround in the economy and potential pay rises from IBEC Senior Economist Reetta Suonpera and Laura Wood returned to fill us in on meeting and play her interviews with Sally Field, Stephen Spielberg and Michael D Higgins. Declutter Expert Breda Stack talked to us about the importance of decluttering for a happy, healthy mind and Bray Detective Inspector Frank Kinihan gave a fresh appeal on missing Bray man Philip ‘Philly’ O’ Toole.
