Thursday 11th July 2013 The Morning Show with Declan Meehan 10- 11am •We spoke to Girl against Flouride, Aisling Fitzgibbon ahead of her protest at the Dail today and we discussed the future of Wicklow rural transport with two Rathdrum listeners who use the rural transport bus and Breda Whelan, manager of Wicklow Rural Transport. We were also joined in studio by Science Blogger Sean Duke who talked about why nostalgia can be good for us. 11am -midday •We spoke to John Leech, CEO Irish Water Safety about safe swimming and being wary of the water following recent tragic drownings and we talked to Veronica O’ Leary about the news that cancer patients who are not terminal will no longer be guaranteed a medical card. We were also joined in studio by Vet Pete Wedderburn who told us how to take care of pets in the warm weather.
