We also wrapped up our 6th annual Give a Gift Campaign with SVP Acting Wicklow Area President Mary Wooley. 11am-midday •We were joined in studio by Irish Times Wine Correspondent John Wilson for some last minute wine reccomendations and Kim Hayden joined us to perform some Christmas music. We also had live Christmas music from The Ground will Shake and Emma Parkin, Easy Parenting and Dee Laffin, Easy Food gave advice on keeping over-stimulated kids calm and treating overindulgence over the Christmas period.

We heard about the top techie gifts this Christmas from our Technological Consultant Damien Mulley and we got advice on buying Irish from Agri-Aware Chairperson Bernard Donohue. 11-12 •We were joined in studio by Irish Patients Association Chairperson Steve Mc Mahon who gave his reaction to the HSE report and one of our listeners filled us in on her recent experiences in A&E and we heard how to cook Christmas dinner like a pro from Donnellies Chef Siobhan Donnelly. 10am – 11am Sinn Fein Councillor John Brady and local business man Eugene Finnegan of Finnegan’s Bus hire dropped in to chat to Declan to about the proposals to privatise some of the bus routes in Wicklow and South Dublin. There was a very lively discussion about how best to serve the people of Wicklow. Malcolm Earls the Mayor of Wicklow talked to Declan on the phone about the recent scandal of a badly beaten horse that had to be put down. The picture of the mare’s foal went viral on social networking. Laura Haugh of www.mummypages.ie was in studio to talk to Declan about her top toy picks for Christmas and how to deal with kids who are faddy eaters around the holiday season. 10am hour: 11am – 12 Comedian Neil Delamare was in studio chatting about his upcoming tour “Smart Bomb” and his January 30th gig in Wicklow at the Grand. He gave Declan a bit of insight into the way he turns conflict and arguments from real life into comedy. Blogger and journalist Barbara Scully brought her Christmas cheer into Declan to give a run-down on her best book ideas for Christmas pressies. After the break Declan had a chat on the phone with Tommy Annesly, Mayor of Arklow about a new policy there disallow animal cirusses on council land. Wicklow independent TD Stephen Donnelly was on the phone explaining the "bailout for dummies" and what the bailout exit might mean for the ordinary taxpayer, and Dermot Williams Managing Director of Threatscape dropped into studio to chat to Declan about the latest hacking scandal of credit card payment details. 11am-12 Writer, professional coach and PR guru Terry Prone came in to talk about her life, career,family and her latest book "Coach - Terry Prone Tells It Like It Is". Leslie Dowdall and her band The String Factory entertained us with an original number and a Mick Hanly song, and she chatted to Declan about her upcoming gig tomorrow night in Conary.

We also spoke to Bray listener who was attending the protest and Dr Paul Corcoran, Senior Lecturer in Perinatal Epidemiology at UCC told us about their recent report that showed that newborn deaths are on the rise in some hospitals here. 11am –midday -We were joined in studio by Wicklow based Addiction Counsellor and psychotherapist, Brian Lynch from Awareness Counselling therapies who talked about the rise in gambling and local band The Ground Will Shake dropped in to perform live. We also heard ways to avoid food wastage and save significant money doing so from Odile Le Bolloch, EPA Project Manager of Stop Food Waste Campaign.
