•We discussed the rise in the price of home heating oil with National Consumer Agency Director of Research and Policy, Feargal O’ Leary and we hear what plans are in place for the homecoming of Wicklow Paralympians from Wicklow County Council Chairman, Pat Casey. We were also joined by the cast of Ted & Co dinner theatre tour including Fr Jack and Mrs Doyle who were already in full character ahead of their gig at the Grand Hotel tonight and tomorrow night.


11- 12pm
•We heard why it pays to shop around for motor insurance, how much each provider can differ for first time buyers and details of the new free financial asdvice struggling homeoners are entitled to from Money Doctor John Lowe and Technological Consultant Damien Mulley talked to is about the Iphone5, Amazon tablet and the Microsoft phone. We also caught up with Wicklow paralympian Padraic Moran ahead of his return home.

•We heard food survival advice for students heading off to college from Chef Siobhan Donnelly and AA’s Conor Faughnan told us how not everybody is getting what they are paying for a the petrol pumps. We also discussed the potential cuts to free travel and home help with Gerard Scully from Age Action Ireland.

•We heard reaction to the Governments U-Turn on the planned cuts to personal care assistants for people with disabilities from Ann Kennedy in Greystones who was at last nights overnight protest and wrote about her shoes for www.thejournal.ie today and Bray Arts Chairman Cearbhall O’Meadhra. We also spoke to Jared Browne about his book ‘A Football Life - Dunphy’

•We heard some details on the tragic death of 8 year old Anthony Ward from Cork reporter PJ Coogan and Philomena Lynott told us why she wasn’t happy with the Thin Lizzy Classic ‘The Boys are back in town’ being used as part of last week’s Republican national Convention in the US campaign in the U.S.

We also heard about a campaign against fake food from Peter Whelan, Food Safety Authority and chatted about the summer finally arriving just in time for the kids to head back to school with Joan Blackburn, Met Eireann.

•We were joined in studio by author Maria Duffy who talked about her latest book ‘The Terrace’ and Dr Tom Cavanagh from Irish Business Against Litter told us how Bray did in the latest Report.
