• With lots going on around the county for this Bank Holiday Weekend we heard all about The Tinahealy Show and the Bray Summerfest. We also found out about the Arklow Maritime Festival that's on this weekend and Dee and Emma from Easy Health and Food droped in for a chat with Declan.

11- 12pm

• In our Friday interview this morning we were joined in studio by Cearbhall O'Meadhra and to finish off the show The Baskervilles who will be headlining the Roots Festival in Greystones this weekend.

•We spoke to AA’s Conor Faughnan about the planned clampdown on penalty points and we heard reaction to todays report that 1 in 10 people will have diabetes by 2020 from local GP Dr Ernan Gallagher. We also discussed Moroccan holidays and cuisine from Chef Siobhan Donnelly and Holiday Doctor Joe Supple.

11- 12pm

•We were joined by singer Ryan O’ Shaughnessy who talked about his new single and his experience on Britains Got Talent and The Voice of Ireland and vet Pete Wedderburn talked to us with singer Mary Coughlan about a rescue cat.

•We heard reaction to the sentence given in a serious sexual assault case in court yesterday from Dublin Rape Crisis Centre CEO Ellen O’ Malley Dunlop and we heard the details of a new unit and drug for cystic fribrosis from CF Ireland CEO Philip Watt. We also paid tribute to author Maeve Binchy with Wicklow based International best selling author Cathy Kelly and talked to book reviewer Owen Dawson who knew Maeve and had interviewed her at her home in recent years and blogger Barbara Scully who had worked with her at a charity event in the early 90’s.


11- 12pm
•We were joined in studio by Greystones based journalist and author Sylvia Thompson to talk about her book ‘Hands On - The Art of Crafting in Ireland’ and we spoke to cider maker Phil Wheal and Milliner Lina Stein about their unique crafts. We were also joined in studio by East Coast Physio Avril Barrett who talked about the Olympics and heard further tribute to the late Maeve Binchy.

We spoke to sports producer Joe Molloy in London about the olympics and we heard reaction to Minister Phil Hogan’s recent comments regarding the household charge from some of our non-paying listeners. We also spoke to spokesperson for Wicklow Housing Action Campaign, Niamh Mc Donald about their visit this morning to the offices of Deputies Anne Ferris and Simon Harris to try and rent caps to be reversed.


11- 12pm
•We were joined in studio by Parenting Coach Marian Byrne who discussed the mportance of reading bedtime stories and Eleanor Mc Evoy dropped in to perform live live and chat about the new single to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the iconic ‘A Womans Heart’.
