•We heard reaction to household charge penalties and the possibility of 8 TD’s being cut from the Dail from listeners and we discussed Azerbaijan with Colm O’ Gorman, Exective Director Amnesty International. We were also joined by reps from the County’s five Cancer Support Centres and the Wicklow Hospice Foundation to hand over the €24, 882.89 that was raised at this years Wicklow Wide Coffee Morning on April 20th.

11- 12pm

•We were joined in studio by Brain Kennedy who talked about his music career, childhood, Eurovision, reality TV, new album and upcoming gigs and performed for us.

•We heard comment on Irish people’s reluctance to wear sun screen in the hot weather from local GP, Dr Ciara Kelly and we discussed the possibility of university fees being on the way with USI president Gary Redmond. We also spoke to Irish Examiner journalist, Conor Ryan about the amount of private information that may be available to the Defence Forces and Revenue Commissioners.

11- 12pm
•We got handy hints and tips on barbecuing from Donnellies chef Siobhan Donnelly and Vet Pete Wedderburn joined us to talk about spaying animals.

•We heard from Bray homeowner, Sarah Hogan who was one of many customers venting their anger at PTSB’s “moral bankruptcy” at the company’s AGM yesterday and we heard reaction to the HSE’s report on the rise in elder abuse from local solicitor, Mark Felton.

11- 12pm

•We discussed the future of animal antibiotics with Vet and Chairman of Animal Remedy Committee, Peader O’ Scannel and IFA Wicklow Chairman, James Hill and we were joined in studio by McCann Finance man Donal O’ Sullivan who talked about mortgages and the importance of a positive attitude despite the recession.

•We heard tips on reducing bank charges and the best value pizza from Irish Times Pricewatcher, Conor Pope and singer Peter Corry joined us in studio to chat and perform live ahead of his gig in National Concert Hall on May 30th.

•We spoke to Former Rugby International Shane Byrne following the match and we heard about the heatwave on the way from Pat Clarke of Met Eireann. We also heard more good wishes for Katie Taylor, this time from Gerry O’ Neill of Blessington Boxing Club.


11- 12pm
•We heard about the crimes of Geoffrey Evans after he passed away over the weekend from Crime Author Barry Cummins and Derry journalist Eamonn Mc Dermott told us the latest on the investigation into and charging for the murder of 18 year old Lauren O’Neill in Derry. We were also joined in studio by Parenting Coach Marian Byrne who gave advice on juggling children and work.
