•We heard about how today can be considered as “Womens Christmas” from Blogger Barbara Scully. We discussed the more then 115,000 pensioners facing a cut in their pension with Local FG Deputy Billy Timmins and Vivienne Dempsey from the Revenue Commissioners. Technological Consultant Damien Mulley gave us advice on protecting your smart phone, twitter and Facebook from fraud and shared his views on techie words new to the Irish language.

11- 12am

•We got further reaction on the pension story from Age Action Ireland spokesperson Eamonn Timmins and West end Star Rebecca Storm joined us for an extended chat about her life so far, favourite songs, new album and upcoming gigs.

We also discussed the potential impact of teacher cuts on the future of Guidance Counsellors with Wicklow based Chartered Guidance Counsellor Patricia Wroe and USI President Gary Redmond.

•We spoke to Brendan Boyer ahead of his gig in the Arklow Bay Hotel and Data Protection Commissioner, Billy Hawkes talked to us about how homeowners will be tracked down to pay property tax. East Coast Physio Avril Barrett joined us to talk about new years resolutions, going from zero to hero and correct equipment and footwear for exercises and Vet Pete Wedderburn talked about toilet training pets.

•We heard opinion on and reaction to the US elections so far from Political Analyst Susan Philips and American born Local FF Councillor Kathleen Kelleher. We also discussed the price hikes in public transport with Consumer Association Chief Executive Dermot Jewell, Andrew Mc Lindon of Bus Eireann and Iarnroid Eireann Communication Spokesperson, Jane Creegan.

•We heard from Daft.ie economist Ronan Lyons about the latest house prices report and Parenting Coach Marian Byrne gave us tips for the new year for parents reviewing the year gone and making this one count. CEO Irish Tourist Industry Confederation, Eamonn Mc Keown talked about the rise in the Irish tourism industry in 2011 following three difficult years and DSPCA Miriam Kerins joined us to discuss resolving care for your pet.
