10- 11am

• We started the show with a caller, Julie-Anne, a local mum of three. She was talking to Declan about statistics released today about 1 in 4 three-year olds in Ireland being overweight. Ruth Kennedy did a quick round up of what’s happening in the world of Twitter. In studio, we had Eileen Earls from Wicklow Cancer Support Centre and Leo Newsome a Wicklow barman. They were promoting a charity calendar with photos of Wicklow barmen (almost) naked, who stripped off all in the aid of Wicklow Cancer support. Music journalist and comedy writer Damian Corless came in to chat to Declan about his new book “You’ll Ruin your Dinner”. It’s all about the Irish love affair with sweets, and full of stories about traditional Irish confectionary brands like Lemons and Caffreys.


11 - 12am

• Community activist Mary-Anne Kennedy spoke to us from limerick about her village Effin, which Facebook don't want her to use on her page. She is fighting for the identity of her village to be recognised worldwide. Mary-Anne is a local historian and amateur drama director, who works at the University of Limerick as an administrator. Declan said he hoped to visit the "effin village" sometime!.
Stylist and TV presenter Lisa Fitzpatrick spoke to Declan about her SOS Save our Shops programme starting on TV3 tonight. Lisa helps struggling retailers boost their customer service. On the phone was regular contributor and tech-wizard Damien Mulley talking to Declan about reports of iPhones going on fire spontaneously. John Diskin, our money advisor was in studio talking to Declan about the move away from credit to debit cards this Christmas season. Barry Orr from Betfair spoke to Declan about soccer – Euro 2012, Rugby, horseracing, Xfactor and I’m a Celebrity Get me out of here! Lynne Coyle of O’Briens Wines came in with her colleague Daniel to review three bottles of reasonably priced Italian and Portuguese wines.

We also discussed cross-border shopping asnd if it’s worth it with TV3 Midweek reporter Michael Ryan and the importance of local shopping with Bray Chamber President Ian Donnelly and discussed morality with Science Spinner Sean Duke.

•Chef Siobhan Donnelly dropped in to give tips on saving money when planning parties, Vet Pete Wederburn joined us to talk about his issues with mink farming in Ireland and Holiday doc Joe Supple told us about the best travel gadgets in case you would like to take your Minister prescribed holiday!

Sorcha Murphy of Escape Boutique dropped in to give tips on dressing for Christmas Parties. We also discussed the concept of taxing the wealthy with SFA Director Ian Martin and Claiming our Future, Wicklow Convener Bill Abom.

•We talked to residents mother Anne Young about the potential closure of Crooksling Hospital, Property man Richard Mc Donnell talked about why should people should rent and regulations surrounding the efficiency in your home and local author Tom Galvin dropped in to talk about his book “Gariels Gate”

•We talked to Con Flynn, conservation officer Irish Welfare Trust and IFA County Chairman, James Hill about badger culling. We also were joined by Psychologist Owen Fitzpatrick and Guard and Gaming fan Sergeant John Fitzpatrick about video games and if the violence contained in some of them can have a negative impact on users.

•Parenting Coach Marian Byrne told us how to say no to the children and stick to it, Irish Cancer Society CEO John Mc Cormack gave us his reaction to the OECD report which puts Ireland high on list of cancer statistics and we heard how more cuts to SNA’s would effect special needs parents. We also spoke to Caroline McGuigan of Suicide or Survive about the tragic death of Gary Speed.
