•We were joined by Author and newly appointed Bray Ambassador Emma Hannigan, Think Tank Spokesperson Christine Flood and local Businessman and self published author Darren Darker in Hollands of Bray for a chat about the news stories of the week and Bagatelle’s Ken Doyle dropped down for live performance.


11- 12am

•Local Sergeant John Fitzpatrick joined us to tell us why there has only been three asbos since they were introduced. We heard about the top bestseller adult and children’s books from Kim Harte and Susan Walsh of Dubray Books and Money Watchdog John Diskin gave advice on saving or getting a loan for a trip to Poland next year. We also chatted about switching on the Christmas lights and tasted some wine with Anne Marie Holland and Bray Chamber of Commerce, President Ian Donnelly and former world Snooker champion turned author Ken Doherty joined us to chat about his book “In the Frame – my Story”, Singer songwriter Paul Harrington dropped in for a chat and Connor McKeon performed live.

· We heard storm and flood warnings from Met Eireann and we spoke to one listener who has an issue with the school her son attends insisting on a certain coat for school, we also spoke to Jackie O’ Callaghan, PRO National Parents Council Post Primary about the issue of school expenses that can be deemed unnecessary by parents. Science blogger Sean Duke talked to us about the science behind stigmata.


11 - 12am

· Threatscape MD, Dermot Williams talked to us about the violence and porn threat facing facebook users, Consumer Journalist Tina Leonard and Holiday Doc Joe Supple talked about why if you’re tired of baggage charges, you should wear your luggage instead. We also discussed why we are snubbing the humble spud in favour of pasta, rice and cous cous despite it’s nutritional benefits with Donnellies Chef Siobhan Donnelly and IFA Potato and fresh produce development officer Matt Molloy and Vet Pete Wedderburn gave advice on keeping mice out of your house in the cold weather.

•We heard about today’s student protest with USI president Gary Redmond and Psychology lecturer Paul Seager told us how to spot a liar and common lie-detecting myths. We were also joined by Enniskerry lady Jenny Derbyshire who is travelling to Palestine in a week on a human rights project for three months.

•We spoke to a concerned Grandmother about her daughter and grandchildren and her worries about a potential cut to lone parent allowance, we also heard views from One Family Director, Karen Kiernan and Joe Egan, Parental Equality and the Platform for European Fathers. We also discussed how women can tell if men are attractive…and when they are not when reading their on-line profiles from Jill McGrath, of dating site Maybefriends.com and chatted about the football ahead of tonight’s match.

•We were joined by TV personality Mary Kennedy to talk about her new book “Lines of Living” and we discussed new apps that can help you with job-seeking with Damien Mulley. We also chatted to award winning and multi award nominated Author Emma Donoghue about her book “The Room”.

•We spoke to Dr Sam Coulter-Smith, Master of the Rotunda about how womens’ lives at risk if the services are not upgraded, we got reaction from USI President Gary Redmond about the possibility of the end of grants for post grads and we discussed cash for gold schemes and if people are being ripped off. We also heard on-line Christmas shopping tips from Pricewatcher Conor Pope.

11- 12am

•We were joined by parenting coach Marian Byrne who gave advice on dealing with children when moving house, we heard some listener reaction to and experiences of our maternity services. Michael Fewer told us his favourite things about the Garden County when he dropped in to discuss his latest book “Michael Fewers Ireand” and Comedian and TV presenter Neil Delamere joined us to chat about his new stand-up show and how he keeps his material funny despite the doom and gloom in the Country.
