Bohs ease past Bray

Reports of Bohemians demise appear wide of the mark as they claimed all three points in an entertain affair at the Carlisle Grounds.

Despite falling behind to Bray, the Dalymount club rallied to end
Wanderers eight month unbeaten home Premier Division run in a game that saw three penalties awarded.

Killian Brennan put his Setanta Cup red card against Portadown behind him with a stunning free-kick that was sandwiched in between debut goals by Christy Fagan and Anto Flood. With both Barry Murphy and Chris O'Connor injured, 19-year-old Craig Sexton started between the sticks for Bohs, but he was picking the ball out of his net in the 19th minute.

Joe Kendrick's deep 19th minute corner to the back post saw Ger
O'Brien handle under pressure from Danny O'Connor. Referee Tom Connolly pointed to the spot. And Jake Kelly blasted in the spot-kick.

But the new look Gypsies were level just after half hour. Lee Dixon was taken down on the left side on the area by Daire Doyle. Despite claims the offence was outside the box, Fagan sent Matt Gregg the wrong way from the spot-kick.

It got even better for the visitors in the 39th minute when Dixon was brought down by Kendrick outside of the penalty area, and Brennan stepped up to superbly curl a 22-yard free-kick into the top right hand corner of the net.

The Gypsies went further ahead in the 65th minute with a sweeping counter-attack.

Dixon broke from his own half to find Fagan along the right flank. He squared to Stephen Traynor who in turn slipped a pass acrossTo the unmarked Anto Flood to convert from eight yards.

Yet the Seasiders had the opportunity to pull one back in the 69th minute. Substitute John Mulroy was adjudged to have been tripped by O'Brien, but Jake Kelly's drilled penalty crashed back off the cross-bar.
