The expected end to the on-going Aer Lingus was just one of the topics we covered on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard comment on this situation from Aviation author and journalist, Gerry Byrne.

Today’s election coverage included a review of the FF campaign so far from reporter Sinead Hussey travelling around the country with the party leader. We found out how political opinion polls are constructed and carried out from Roger Jupp, Chairman, Millard Browne Landsdowne Market Research. We also heard three of the main party promises being made to the Wicklow electorate from GP Candidate Niall Byrne, SF Candidate John Brady and Fianna Fail Candidate Pat Fitzgerald and Technological Correspondent, Damien Mulley gave us his review of the social networking aspect of the GE 11 campaign.

The expected further increases in Mortgage interest rate hikes was just one of the topics we covered on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard comment on this situation from Irish Mortgage Brokers Association spokesperson, Karl Deeter and Aoife Walsh, Respond Housing Charity.

Todays show also featured a discussion about the need for increased accountability and investment in Mental Health Services. We spoke to Orla Barry, Director, Irish Mental Health Coalition and Tony Bates, founder, Headstrong – National Centre for Youth Mental Health. We also spoke to Greystones resident and participant of Think Big Project, Sinead Keogh about her new mobile phone initiative to help young people deal with mental illness.

Today’s election coverage included a review of Fine Gael and Labour campaigns so far from reporters travelling with two of the main parties. We heard details on the betting odds on Wicklow candidates from Paddy Power political Analyst, Stuart Kenny. We heard three of main party promises being made to the Wicklow electorate from FG Candidate Deputy Andrew Doyle and Labour candidate Conal Kavanagh and Irish Times, Political Editor Stephen Collins gave us a review of the latest poll.

The on-going situation in Egypt was just one of the topics we covered on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard what it’s like there from Bray Businesswoman and Eygyptologist Noreen Carrick who is currently trying to gewt home from the troubled country. We also discussed the impact on business and tourism with native Egyptian Ragad Abdalrahim.

Todays show also featured a discussion about youth unemployment figures, emigration and attitudes towards starting your own business in Ireland with James Doorley, National Youth Council of Ireland and Declan Byrne, Director Innovo Training and Development.

Today’s election coverage included a poster-watch with listeners letting us know their thoughts on the poster campaign so far and reporting those guilty of early poster hanging, Wicklow journalist Niall O’ Connor gave us his update on how the campaign is going on twitter and FG Candidate Deputy Billy Timmins and Labour Candidate Anne Ferris gave us their reaction to the latest opinion poll.
