The Morning Show with Declan Meehan, Tuesday 4th October

Tuesday 4th October
The Morning Show with Declan Meehan

10- 11am

•We got further reaction to the planned “fat” tax from Food and Drinks Industry Ireland Director Paul Kelly, Albany Clinic Dietician Sarah Keogh and Wicklow IFA spokesman James Hill and we spoke to Andrea Wilson of the Bray Carers Association about the concerns she has for local carers due to the planned closure of the respite unit of St Colmans Hospital. Also with so many people searching for work, so few jobs available and every job vacancy responded to with thousands of applications we asked Career Coach and Author Brian Mc Ivor to give us advice on building a CV that sets you apart and how to know what is worth applying for.

11- 12am

•We heard why you shouldn’t be embarrassed to haggle and tips to try and get reduced prices for hotel rooms, electrical goods and insurance premiums from National Consumer Association CEO Dermot Jewell, we returned to the issues of scams with another listeners experience, got a preview of the iphone 5 and Greystones author Anna Mc Partlin dropped in to chat about her new book and plans to make cartoons.
