The Morning Show with Declan Meehan, Tuesday 16th February

Wednesday 16th February
The Morning how with Declan Meehan

Last nights election husting in Arklow was just one of the topics we covered on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard opinion on the debate from Wicklow Chamber President Denis Fielding and Arklow Chamber spokesperson Susan Breen and we heard analysis of this constituency from Wicklow and Bray people journalist Esther Hayden. Other election coverage included a Wicklow candidate debate with Independent Candidates Michael Mulvehille, Anthony Fitzgerald and Peter Dempsey and a catch up with the reporters following the campaign trail of the main party Leaders. We also discussed election issues in relation to fuel poverty with Irish Rural Link Chief Executive Seamus Boland and education with IBEC Head of Education, Tony Donahoe and USI President Gary Redmond.

Today’s show also included reaction to the news that the Morning after pill is available to be sold over the counter without prescriptions from IPU President Darragh O’Loughlin and we heard a list of the winners and the losers from the years Brit awards from Morning Show reporter, Laura Wood.
