Thursday 6th January
The Morning Show with Declan Meehan

The decision of defence minister Tony Killeen to not contest the next general election was just one of the topics discussed on The Morning Show with Declan Meehan. Political correspondent Padraic Gallagher from Newstalk gave us his view and we spoke to Pat Casey, local Fianna Fail representative.

A deal between the EU and mobile phone manufacturers in relation to a universal phone charger was just one of the topics discussed on The Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard from the European commission on the deal and what it means for consumers. Also on the show we spoke to Wicklow’s Green Party candidate Niall Byrne.

On The Morning Show with Declan Meehan we spoke to Beverley Callard, who plays Liz McDOnald in Coronation Street, while Damien Mulley technology blogger at mulley.net told us about U2’s US$210 million investment in Facebook which is now valued at US$840 million.

Local talented teen Wallis Hamilton from Greystones was back on the show and sang for us, and we heard about a theatre show that’s taking the stage to the restaurant at Campio de Fiori in conjunction with the Mermaid in Bray and Wonderland Productions
