Bray Hammer Galway

Jake Kelly became the first Bray Wanderers player to score ten league goals in five years as they moved level on points with Drogheda in the Airtricity League Premier Division.

Kelly converted a first half penalty at the Carlisle Grounds to end
Galway's recent five-match unbeaten run. Remarkably, after last week's success over Dundalk, the victory was the first time that the Wicklow club had won back-to-back league games since November 2008.

Kelly set up Gary Shaw (59) and Dean Zambra (75) in the second period before wrapping up matters himself in the 84th minute.

Having failed to beat the Tribesmen in their last 12 meetings, the
Seasiders went in front when Danny O'Connor laid a 36th minute throw back to Dave Webster.

The full back drilled in from the right flank with Kelly controlling
the ball with his chest. Referee Tom Connolly immediately pointed to the spot, adjudging Irish U21 cap Seamus Conneely was holding the winger.

And Kelly blasted in his fourth penalty of the campaign.
United's only chance in the opening period came in the 43rd minute.

Stephen Walsh's whipped left wing cross came along the through to Tom King. His shot on the turn was smartly pushed out by Matt Gregg for a corner.

The visitors pressed for an equaliser and went close in the 58th minute. Tom King's end-line centre from the right led to a goal-mouth scramble as Shane O'Connor bravely blocking Karl Sheppard's close range effort.

Within moments, the Seagulls had doubled their lead with a fine break-away. Kelly scampered along the left and hit a low drive that Barry Ryan slipped on the wet surface.

And Irish Schools international Gary Shaw pounced on the rebound to follow-up his debut score last week against Dundalk.
Wanderers went on to claim their best win of the season by sealing the points in the 75th minute.

Kelly showed pace to outwit three opponents along the left wing. His low ball across the box saw Dean Zambra slide in and register his first senior goal.

Bray then went on to score four top-flight league goals in two years when wrapping matters up in the 84th minute. Zambra's clever reverse pass saw Kelly beat the offside and angle a

low right footed shot across Ryan from 15-yards to the far bottom
corner.
