The significant increase in the sale of Irish brands was just one of the topics covered on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard comment on this from Checkout Magazine spokesperson, John Ruddy.

Today’s Morning Show was broadcast live from the Park Pavillion in Aughrim. We were joined in the Granite City by Former Rugby International Shane Byrne who talked to us about rugby and surviving in local business. We also spoke to Margaret Brady of Aughrim Active Retirement about the new Aughrim Times and Kevin Mc Manus about continuing local success with Tidy Towns.

The show also featured a tribute to the late David Wise, Technological Correspondent, Damien Mulley told us about plans by google to rival skype and Aughrim resident Derry Cullen dropped by to tell us about his treks and trails business which include moonlit walks around the village.

U..C.D. V Bray- Team News

Bray Wanderers travel to the Belfield Bowl to take on U,C.D. in the fourth round of the Ford FAI Cup. (Friday 27th August K.O. 7;45.)

Team News is as Follows



Dane Massey who was sent off in the third round replay against Derry City at Carlisle Grounds will have to sit this one out. There is also a doubt about Adam Mitchell who has a hamstring problem that has kept him out of the games against Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians. Club captain Daire Doyle returns to the squad having been unavailable for the last two games.

The need for the publishers of school textbooks to be more responsible was just one of the topics covered on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard comment on this from TUI President, Bernie Ruan and PRO, National Parents Council Rose Tully. We also heard details on saving money on exam papers from Greystones student Ronan Coveney.

On this morning’s show we also discussed clamping and the need for regulation in the area with FG TD Simon Coveney and Bray Councillor David Grant, Money watchdog John Diskin joined us to give advice on making a will and we got the details on yesterdays tragic accident that claimed the lives of four Killarney youngsters from news reporter Mary Mullens and Killarney councillor Tom Doherty.

The plan to hit commercial vehicle drivers with a €900 road tax hike if they use their vehicles for social journeys was just one of the topics covered on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard further comment on this from Fine Gael George Jones and Fianna Fail councillor Ciaran Hayden.

On this morning’s show we also got reaction to Senator Ivor Callelys resignation from Fianna Fail, we discussed Irelands gaining new territory under the sea with Dr John Joyce of The Marine Institute and we returned to our discussion on litter in Bray.

On this morning’s show we also heard information on switching mortgages from money doctor John Lowe, security expert Dermot Williams explained yesterdays CAO website crash and health and fitness consultant Helen Walsh gave us weightloss advice.

The latest litter survey was just one of the topics covered on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard details from Irish Business Against Litter, Chairman, Dr Tom Cavanagh and got comment on Wicklow results from local councillors Pat Fitzgerald, Ronan Mc Manus and Sean Smullen.

On this morning’s show we also got advice for students on the first round of CAO points and college offers, Director of Biofuel Research Centre, Professor Martin Tangeny spoke to us about his development of whiskey byproduct into an eco-friendly fuel and we heard tips on keeping your kids well on their return to school.
