The naming of Taoiseach Brian Cowen in the Newsweek magazine as one of the 10 world leaders who have managed to win serious respect, was just one of the topics covered on The Morning Show, with Declan Meehan. Ciaran Hayden, from Fianna FaĆ­l told us what he thought while Irene Winters Fine Gael councillor give her opinion on Mr. Cowen’s performance.

On this mornings show we debated the issue of baptisms, and whether the church should stop baptising children who’s parents do not attend mass. Kieron Wood, assistant editor of the Sunday Business Post joined us to discuss this matter along with Leonard Kaye, parish pastoral worker with the Holy Redeemer parish in Bray.

Our resident vet Pete Wedderburn popped in to tell us about opportunities for teenagers after the leaving cert in the veterinary world, while we took a call from Damien Mulley, technology consultant on all the latest gadgets and gizmos that are hitting the streets in the coming weeks and months.

The winding down of Bank of Scotland Ireland was discussed on The Morning Show, with Declan Meehan. Mark Fielding from ISME and John Lowe the Money Doctor gave us their thoughts on it.
We also chatted to Wicklow musician Luan Parle, who released her single today ‘Why Baby Why’ which you can download from itunes.

This years’ leaving cert results were just one of the topics covered on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard advice for students facing college choices and alternative education routes from Irish Country Living reporter Ciara O’ Kelly. We also heard tips on searching for student accommodation and falling rents from Daft.ie economist Ronan Lyons

On this morning’s show we also heard why so many members are leaving the Green party from Independent Green councillor Pat Kavanagh and Green Party Counillor Ciaran O’ Brien, Climate expert John Sweeney told us why this is the hottest year globally since records began and commented on recent world-wide freak weather and Society of Irish Motoring Industry, Ehief Executive Alan Nolan explained why changing your car registration may make the Government money.

This years Leaving Cert results was just one of the topics covered on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We comment on the possible need for change from IBEC head of education policy and Tony Donahoe and Science Spin, Joint Editor, Sean Duke gave reaction to the news that science results are low again. We also heard advice on enjoying results night celebrations safely from drinkaware.ie chief executive, Fionnula Sheehan.

Today’s Morning Show was broadcast live from the Beach House in Bray. We were joined on the seafront by Bray Cancer Support Centre spokesperson Conor O’ Leary who gave us an update on the search for a permanent premise, Jack O’ Neill talked to us about recent changes Bray Wanderers and we heard a live performance from local band Clockwork Noise.

Bohs ease past Bray

ohemians moved into third place in the Airtricity League Premier Division table after defeating Bray Wanderers 2-0 at Dalymount Park.
A goal in either half from former Sligo Rovers striker Raffaele Cretaro,(31,84) secured the points for Pat Fenlon's side.

The possible end to daylight savings time in the UK and Ireland was just one of the topics covered on today’s Morning Show with Sean Ashmore. 10.10’s Lighter Later campaign manager, Daniel Votkins gave us an update on the situation in the UK. We also discussed the future of DST in Ireland with FG deputy Sean Barrett and IFA Wicklow County Chairman James Hill .

On this morning’s show we also heard advice for students facing exam results and the CAO points race from career expert Marie Barrett, Health and Fitness consultant Helen Walsh joined us to talk about anti-ageing supplements and Finance Consultant Liam Croke spoke to us about shopping around for home insurance.
