The Morning Show with Declan Meehan, Tuesday 14th December

Tuesday 14th December
The Morning Show with Declan Meehan

The widespread elder abuse by in-home carers portrayed in last night’s Primetime Investigates was the main issue we covered on the Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard reaction to this from Age Action Ireland Spokesperson, Eamonn Timmins and also got comment from Greystones solicitor, Mark Felton who has extensive experience in dealing with elder abuse. Michael Harty, Director of Homecare Plus also spoke to us about the importance of being meticulous in training and vetting standards.

On today’s show we also got reaction to the latest on AIB bonuses from Money Doctor, John Lowe, Reeling in the Years series producer John O’ Regan dropped in to give his review of the year and the noughties and we featured an in-depth discussion about the importance of road safety at this time of the year with Dave Thomas from the “Stop the Madness” campaign, two women who have lost loved ones in fatal RTA’s and local Sergeant John Fitzpatrick.
