The Morning Show with Declan Meehan, Wednesday 3rd November

Wednesday 3rd November
The Morning Show with Declan Meehan

The future of Dail Eireann now that another seat had been vacated was just one of the topics we discussed on the Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard opinion on this and speculation on what the outcome of a high court case to force the By-elections may mean for the current Government from Pat Leahy, Political Editor, Sunday Business Post and author of Showtime, the Inside Story of Fianna Fail in Power.

On today’s show we discussed the reasons behind the common fear of dentists and the recent change in PRSI dental entitlements with Value Dental dentist James Turner, East Coast Physio, Avril Barrett joined us in studio to explain how lack of deportment, incorrect posture and footwear can contribute to back pain and Mediator and conflict coach Fiona McAuslen rejoined us to continue her series of advice on dealing with issues of separation. Fiona will return to the Morning Show on Monday
8th November to discuss managing with children during a separation.

The Morning Show also featured a discussion about alcohol. Local Psychotherapist and addiction counsellor Donal Kiernan joined us in studio to comment on Irish drinking habits and the need to pay heed to a recent study which shows alcohol to be more harmful then heroin and crack cocaine. We also spoke to Drinks Industry Group of Ireland Chairman, Kieran Tobin about the industry’s call on the Government urging a tax cut on alcohol. For help with addiction issues, Donal can be contacted at or on 01 204 2660.
