The closure of Wicklow Hospital was just one of the topics on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard an explanation on why this decision was made from Marian Meeney, local health manager, HSE. We also heard reaction to the news from save Wicklow hospital campaigner Mandy Delahunt and got comment from local councillors John Brady and Tommy Cullen and Deputies Andrew Doyle and Dick Roche.

On today’s show we heard advice on dealing with computer viruses and journalist and author Dearbhail McDonald talked to us about her new book “Bust - how the courts have exposed the Rotten Heart of the Irish Economy”

The Morning Show also featured a discussion about mortgages and energy costs keeping consumer prices high with Sr Bernadette Mc Mahon, Vincentian Partnership for Justice. We also heard comment on how this is effecting rural families the most from Irish Rural Link, Chief Executive Seamus Boland and Councillor Pat Casey.
