The County’s boxing community and the level of facilties available to Katie Taylor and other Wicklow boxers was just one of the topics on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard comment on this from Minister Dick Roche andf Independent Deputy Joe Behan who discussed the need for sufficient facilities for the three time world champion. We also heard details of other boxing clubs in Grangecon, Arklow and Blessington. Al Morris from Ballywaltrim boxing club also joined us to congratulate Katie on her recent success and comment on the on-going need for further funding for the sport in the county.

On today’s show Seargent John Fitzpatrick dropped in to raise awareness of Community Safety Week, Mediator and conflict coach Fiona McAuslan gave practical advice following a study that shows 70% of teenagers are effected by verbal bullying and Irish Farmers Journal, Machinery Editor, Derek Casey talked to us from this years National Ploughing Championships.
