Last January’s severe weather conditions and how the big freeze was dealt with earlier this year was just one of the topics on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard details of yesterdays meeting to plan how to best deal with a similar situation in the future from Councillor Tom Fortune and also got comment from Wicklow Civil Defence officer Bill Downes.

On today’s show we heard how important it is for women to be aware of the “cancer gene” with designer genes author and cancer survivor Emma Hannigan, we discussed Mick O’Dwyers future with Wicklow football and we heard further details from

The Morning Show also featured a discussion about the county’s success in the Tidy Towns competition 2010. We spoke to Bernard Keating, chairman of Aughrim Tidy Town group about their award and we also heard good news for Baltinglass, Bray, Stratford-on-Slaney and Wicklow Town from Wicklow County Council Assistant Environment Awareness Officer, Jim Callery.
