Bray win again

Bray Wanderers are just three points off the bottom of the table after a well deserved victory over a Dundalk side who have now gone almost two months without a league win.

After starting impressively, it was no surprise when the Seagulls hit the front through Gary Shaw after 34 minutes. The new Bray signing firing past Peter Cherrie from just inside the box.

Dundalk rarely threatened and when Chris Shields turned home a Jake Kelly cross from close range in the 65th minute, the points never looked in doubt.Shane O'Neill blasted over after just three minutes and substitute Gary Shaw, signed from Newbridge Town on Monday night, then had a penalty appeal waved away after his shot appeared to hit Simon Madden's outstretched arms.

Jake Kelly had Peter Cherrie's heart fluttering after 21 minutes with a cheeky free-kick that almost left the goalkeeper red faced and it came as no surprise when the Seagulls hit the front in the 34th minute when Shaw capped a good solo run by finding the bottom corner.

Matt Gregg denied Dean Bennett at the end of the first-half but it was a rare attack by the home side and when Chris Shields turned home from Jake Kelly's cross after 65 minutes there was no way back for Dundalk.
