The Morning Show with Declan Meehan, Thursday 15th July

Thursday 15th July
The Morning Show with Declan Meehan

The closure of 1800hotels was just one of the topics covered on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard further comment on the problem from Travel agent, John Galligan and Holiday Doctor Joe Supple. We also heard from listener Sarah O’Neill who was one of many effected.

Today’s Morning Show was broadcast live from the Porterhouse in Bray to celebrate this years’ Bray Summerfest. We were joined on the seafront by festival Director, Mick Glynn who gave us the line-up for the coming days. We also spoke to Wendy Walsh of Glenroe Farms and heard about the airshow from Pilot Eddie Goggins. We heard music from The Shoos and Jerry Fish ahead of their festival gigs and political correspondent, Padraig Gallagher filled us in on the latest details on Senator Ivor Callely’s expenses drama.

Historian Mary Davies also joined us on the seafront to discuss the history of the seaside town of Bray and local politicians Deputy Joe Behan and Liz Mc Manus and Councillor David Grant dropped down to review the papers and talk about local issues.
