The Morning Show with Declan Meehan, Friday 9th June

Friday 9th July
The Morning Show with Declan Meehan

The on-going problem with housing sex offenders in the area was just one of the topics covered on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard further comment on the problem from Ashford resident Sharon O’ Connor and Wicklow resident Victor Evans told us about last night’s public meeting in Aughrim. We also spoke to Wicklow FG Deputy Andrew Doyle.

On this morning’s show we also heard a review of the golf and discussed this weekends World Cup final, we spoke to team spokesman, Jack O’ Neill about Bray Wanderers being the first team to ban the vuvuzela and we discussed petrol prices with David Blevings – Irish Petrol Retailers Association.

The Morning Show also featured an interview for people who want to cut their weekly household shopping bill without compromising the quality of the food.
Author Elizabeth Carty talked to us about eating and shopping on a budget and spoke about her new book “Shrewd Food” and website www.shrewdfood.ie. The website and book features supermarkets throughout Ireland with special offers and provides the best recipes to go with them - all with a view to shrinking weekly shopping budgets.
