The Morning Show with Declan Meehan, Wednesday 30th June

Wednesday 30th June
The Morning Show with Declan Meehan

How to deal with a sex offender living in your area was just one of the issues covered on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. Dr Mary Rogan, Chairperson, Irish Penal Law Reform Trust and Ellen O’ Malley Dunlop, Chief Executive, Dublin Rape Crisis Centre gave us their views on the current system of monitoring and privacy laws for convicted sex offenders. Declan also heard concerns from various Wicklow residents about their on-going campaign to avoid having a sex offender in their area and we spoke to local Councillors Pat Fitzgerald and Tom Fortune. For further information www.citizensinformation.ie or contact the rape crisis centre on free-phone 1800 778 888.

On this morning’s show we also heard a review of the latest World Cup matches, we discussed Irish attitudes to mental health with Professor Patricia Casey and London based face reader Saffron Ellidge told us why women are better at recognising faces then men.
