The Morning Show with Declan Meehan, Tuesday 29th June

Tuesday 29th June
The Morning Show with Declan Meehan

We returned to the issue of the animal welfare Bill on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We spoke Vet, Pete Wederburn and heard views from Deputies Joe Behan (FF), Andrew Doyle (FG) and Sean Sherlock (Lab). We also heard comments from listeners throughout the show.

On this morning’s show we heard a review of the latest World Cup matches, UCC Economics Lecturer Leanne Burke told us why men are happiest when they are single and Councillor Kathleen Kelleher and Seargent john Fitzpatrick talked about recent anti-social behaviour in Greystones.

The Morning show also featured an interview about why Ireland is the second most expensive country in the EU to buy groceries. Turloch Denihan, Director of Retail Ireland and Dermot Jewell, Chief Executive, Chief Executive, Consumer Association of Ireland spoke to us about the research which shows Ireland is almost one-third more expensive than the UK for common items such as bread, milk and meat.
