Seagulls Gun Down Dundalk in Shootout

Wanderers are through to the semi-final of the Leinster Senior Cup after beating Dundalk on penalties at theCarlisle last night.

For the second game in succession the Seagulls were 2 up at the interval with a brace of goals from Shane O'Neill - the second of which was an absolute screamer.

Dundalk got back into the game shortly after the interval, Alan Cawley converting from the penalty spot.
The Lillywhites brought the game to extra time with an equalizer from Michael Mc Gowan on 58 mins.

Extra time yielded no further goals and the game went to penalties.

The Seagulls got off to the worst possible start when Jake Kelly's spot kick was brilliantly save by ex-Wanderer Matt Gregg in the Dundalk goal. while

Successful penalties from Shane O'Neill, Dane Massey, Dane Massey and Ian Tuohy.heaped pressure on Ciaran Mc Guigan who missed the Crucial penalty for Dundalk, which sent Wanderers into the semi-finals with a home draw against UCD.
