The Morning Show with Declan Meehan, Monday 24th May

Monday 24th May
The Morning Show with Declan Meehan

The price of petrol kicked off the conversation on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. Conor Faulknan of AA Roadwatch compared the cost at pumps throughout the country and highlighted the importance of shopping around to get the best value. Met Eireann’s David Rogers then gave us the lowdown on the recent ‘heatwave’ and predicted what’s in store for us this summer.

Flood protection in The People’s Park in Bray was discussed by Sinn Fein Councillor, John Brady and Padraic Moran filled us in on Ireland’s chances as the national Boccia team head to Lisbon ahead of the 2012 Paralympic Games.

The Morning Show studio became lively with a spirited discussion on the aging process with contributors including author Angela Cooke and Professor Patricia Casey, Paddy Cole and Owen Dawson.

Finally, controversial comedian Abi Philbin Bowman rounded out the day’s entertainment with a sneek preview before he takes to the stage during the Wicklow Arts Festival.
