The Morning Show with Declan Meehan

The possibility of first time buyers facing negative equity for the next ten years was just one of the topics covered on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan. We heard details from Money Doctor John Lowe and got reaction from local auctioneers Raymond Gaffney and Gabriel Dooley.

On today’s Morning Show we got a full round up of St Patricks Day festivals taking place around the County, we heard further reaction to Cardinal Brady’s resistance to calls for his resignation from One in Four Advocacy Director, Deirdre Kenny and Clinical Psychologist Dr Patrick Ryan gave Declan advice on dealing with troublesome teenagers and talked about his new book “You can’t make me”

The show also featured a discussion on the economy, IBEC Senior Economist, Fergal O’ Brien gave details on their statement that the Irish Economy is starting to pull out of a deep recession. We also heard reaction to this from ISME Chief Executive, Mark Fielding and Trade Union consultant Padraig Yeats.

Wicklow mother Lisa Domican today told Declan about her involvement with the development of a new iPHONE app that she hopes will help children with autism better develop their communications skills. The app, which has already been successfully trialled in the Saplings school in Rathfarnham for children with autism, is called “Grace” (named after Lisa’s daughter) and is based on the principle of picture exchange communication. The new app is now available in the official iPhone App Store. It will retail at €29.99 for up to five users, to facilitate family members accessing the app.
