The report on Children’s Rights published yesterday was just one of the topics discussed on today’s Morning Show with Declan Meehan when Declan heard reaction from Maria Corbett, Deputy Chief Executive, Childrens Rights Alliance and Senator Alex White, Labour spokesperson for Children. He also heard further comment on the report from author and Child Protection expert, Shane Dunphy
Declan also discussed the closure of yet another rural post office in County Wicklow and how that will impact elderly people in the area, he returned to the issue of flooding in Baltinglass and questioned if the recent funding announcement for 4 Wicklow schools was really just old news.
On today’s Morning Show Declan asked Local Sinn Fein Councillor John Brady if there was any truth in rumour that Deirdre De Burca is considering joining his party, got details on the multi-car collision on the N11 this morning and heard further comment on the Pope’s meeting with the Irish Bishops Conference from abuse survivior Andrew Madden.
The Morning Show also featured reaction to last night’s Manchester United win from Wicklow supporter Tony Dunne and an interview with Stephen Cullinane, Irish cast member from hit musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,.
