Bray Boss gets ready for new season

Bray Wanderers play Sligo Rvs. in the first of their pre-season friendlies on Saturday(kick-off 2.00p.m.)and Manager Eddie Gormley gave us his thoughs ahead of the game.

Eddie said "The Club have taken the decision to run with a youth policy and I'm happy to run with that. We are interested in signing the best young players around, and we have already signed a number of very good young players including 17 year old James Kavanagh brother of Paddy Kavanagh who was with Bray last season before joining Shamrock Rovers. We will give these young players plenty of opportunities to prove themselves and they will get very good coaching. We have some thirty players signed and about 25 of these are under 20 years of age".

Gormley added "We have Chris Shields, Dane Massey, Jake Kelly, David O'Neill and Dave Webster from last seasons squad and they have plenty of experience between them and I think people will be pleasantly surprised when they see the level some of these players are at". Gormley continued "Keith Long is back on the coaching staff and Garry Zambra is with the first team squad now and we will all be focused on their development as players and individuals".

The game with Sligo Rovers has now been moved to Wayside Celtics Ground K.O2p.m. Saturday 6th February
