HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!

Well its the eve of Christmas eve and I'll probably be too busy tomorrow being excited and opening the many presents Rob and indeed everybody else here at East Coast are giving me to blog so I thought I'd do it now. Its been a great week on the show, we had great craic recording our Joy To The World promo from which I have concluded that Rob has a vocation in the Palestrina boys choir! Also we had Peter Dickson the X-Factor voice over guy on the show today who had a voice off with Rob- great craic, he's a really friendly fun guy and was pleasantly surprised with Rob's impersonating talents! We still have weekend breaks, panto tickets, ice skating tickets and kids rain sets to give away tomorrow, aswell as our weekly prize on Never Gonna Get It. Not only that but Rob and I will be swopping presents tomorrow aswell as the rest of us in the office doing Kriskindl which should be good fun. Santa will be in on The Morning Show so I might nab him for my requests before he goes on to ensure I don't get a hanger made into a basketball hoop again! Check out the videos on our blog by the way- some of my favourite clips all year have been put up in the last few weeks, i.e Michelle Heaton snotting herself and the monkey smelling his finger! Anyhow, have a fantastic Christmas and New Year and here's to a healthy, happy 2010 X

Sporting fingal V Bray Wanderers- Team News

Bray Wanderers tavel to the Morton Stadium Santry tomorrow afternoon to take on Sporting Fingal in the Ford FAI Cup semi-final K.O 4;05.

Team news for Wanderers is as follows.

Captain Derek Pender will miss today as he serves a one match ban, following four yellow cards. Manager Eddie Gormley is awating the results of late fitness tests for three of his players, central defender Derek Foran, Winger Gary Mc.Cabe and defender Gary Cronin all of whom missed Tuesday’s draw with Dundalk.

Speaking during the week Gormley said " We were all bitterly disappointed after Tuesday night as we felt we did enough to win the game, it was a difficult night for us all. Nobody can question the commitment from all the players, but unfortunately we weren't getting the bounce of the ball". He added "We are all looking forward to Sunday, it is a massive game for all the players, they will all work exceedingly hard for the Club to try and get to the Final. We will leave no stone unturned to give ourselves the best opportunity of getting to the Final".

Bray's path to Semi-Final, in round three Bray beat Bluebell Utd, 2-1 at Carlisle Grounds with goals from Paul Byrne and a Gary Mc.Cabe penalty.

In round four Bray overcame Tralee Dynamos 2-0 at Carlisle Grounds with goals from John Flood and Dave Webster.
In the quarter Final against Longford at Flancare Pk. the game ended at 0-0,and in the replay at Carlisle Grounds Bray were victorious on a 2-1 scoreline the Bray goals came from John Flood and Chris Shields.

Bray Wanderers V Dundalk Team News

Bray Wanderers welcome Dundalk to the Carlisle Grounds for this crucial League of Ireland Premier Division Clash .(Tuesday 20th October K.O 7;45)

If Bray loose this game and Drogheda beat Galway the Seagulls will be as good as relegated.

Team News is as follows.
Gary Mc. Cabe who limped out of Friday's defeat with a recurrence of his ankle injury is a certain non starter for the visit of Dundalk.Derek Foran who sat out Friday's game with a groin injury is once again set to sit this on out.Otherwise Eddie Gormley has a full squad to pick from.

Speaking yesterday Gormley said " I was disappointed with the result on Friday night,we probably created the better chances but once again we didn't take them, we need to start taking these chances".He added "It will be tough against Dundalk, but if the players give as much as they have been giving me we will be in with a chance, but its crucial we start taking the chances that we are creating".

St. Patrick's Ath V Bray Wanderers- Team News

Bray Wanderers Travel to RichmonD Park to take on St. Patrick's Ath. in Richmond Park, in the League of Ireland Premier Division. (Friday 16th October K.O 7;45)

This is a must win game as a loss here would almost certainly consign Bray to automatic relegation.
Team News is as follows

The Seagulls have four injury worries ahead of their meeting with St.Patrick's Ath.Gary Mc Cabe has a ankle injury as has Dave Webster who missed Tuesday night's trip to Sligo, while Derek Foran who also missed the Rovers game with a groin injury is also doubtful and striker Paul Byrne's knee is giving cause for concern but no decision on any of the four will be made until just before kick-off.

Speaking yesterday Eddie Gormley said " If we play like we did in the second half on Tuesday we will give ourselves a great chance of getting something from the game, but if we play like we did in the first half it will be game over,in the second half we created three great chances to take the lead but failed to take any of them. Then we make one slip up at the back and are punished, even though the ball was out of play but not seen by the assistant".He added " It will be tough in Richmond Park as they are fighting for their lives as well,we will approach the game cautiously but will be positive and hope we get something from the game"

Sligo Rovers V Bray Wanderers-Team News

Bray wanderers travel to the Showgrounds to take on Sligo Rovers in this crucial League of Ireland Premier Division clash.(Tuesday 13th October K.O 7;45)

After Friday's rousing win over Cork City a win here would see the Seagulls come off the bottom of the Table.

Team News is as follows

Derek Foran who limped out of Friday's win over Cork City with a groin problem is likely to miss the trip to Sligo. There will be late fitness tests for winger Gary Mc.Cabe and defender Dave Webster both of whom have ankle injuries.

Speaking over the weekend Manager Eddie Gormley said "The players showed great character and never say die attitude on Friday night, and it was nice that we were the ones to get the late goals for a change that gave us the three points". Gormley added "It will be tough up in Sligo, it hasn't been a happy hunting ground for us recently, but if we show the same attitude as we did on Friday night we will give ourselves a great chance of getting the three points".
