•We spoke to Councillor Chris Fox about the misspelling on several signs for Kilmacanogue and we discussed the problems facing listeners living in rural areas because of so many cuts, extra charges, business closure and job loss.


11- 12am

•We discussed the future of local buses ahead with Local Councillors John Brady and Tom Fortune and East Coast Physio Avril Barrett gave advice on knee injuries for those who have overdone their new years return to exercise. We also heard about Wicklow County Enterprise Open Day from WCEB Chief Executive, Sheelagh Daly and Branding Expert, Dr John Fanning who will be one of the speakers on the day. •We spoke to AA Roadwatch’s Conor Faughnan and Irish Rural Link CEO Seamus Boland about the cost of running a family car being at an all time high and we discussed the possibility of energy drilling in Dalkey with Fergus Cahill, Chairman Irish Offshore Operators Association and Simon Berrow, Co-ordinator Irish Whale and Dolphin Group. We also heard the views of Conor Graham, who regularly swims in Killiney and Jason Mc Chesney, Chairman of the Dalkey Business Group and lives in Killiney.


11- 12am

•We heard the latest details following the discovery of the body of a woman in West Dublin at the weekend from Irish Independent Security Editor Tom Brady and Technological Consultant Damien Mulley talked about Facebook in relation to privacy and being floated. We returned to our discussion about motoring costs with Society of Irish Motoring Industry, Director General Alan Nolan and Parenting Coach Marian Byrne gave us career tips for teens.

•Bray Lakers Chairperson Louis O’ Rourke joined us to chat about his life and work in Bray and we heard about Avoca Recycling Centre’s 10 year anniversary and their family fun day taking place on Saturday 28th January from Centre Manager, Myles Doyle.

We also spoke to Actor and Director Peter Mc Donald about his best live action short film Oscar nomination for “Pentacost” and the connection with Wicklow. We also heard about Irish Haiti Week from Haven CEO Ann McGuire and Hot Press Journalist Stuart Clarke and Bray based Kelley Ann Gallinagh told us of their experiences visiting Haiti in recent months.

•Chef Siobhan Donnelly joined us to chat about soups, low call dinners and answer listnener foodie questions and Holiday Doctor Joe Supple and John Galligan of Galligan Travel dropped in to tell us where you can find out about the best holidays. We were also joined by Vet Pete Wedderburn who answered listener pet related queries.
